Carl Friedrich Gauss

[Deutsch] Johann Carl Friedrich Gauß (latinisiert Carolus Fridericus Gauss) (* 1777 in Braunschweig; † 1855 in Göttingen) war ein deutscher Mathematiker, Astronom, Geodät und Physiker, der maßgeblich zu den Bereichen der Wissenschaft beitrug, darunter Zahlentheorie, Statistik, Analysis, Geometry, Geodäsie, Geophysik, Elektrostatik, Astronomie und Optik.

[English] Johann Carl Friedrich Gauss (Latin: Carolus Fridericus Gauss) (b. 1777 in Braunschweig; d. 1855 in Göttingen) was a German mathematician, astronomer, geodesist and physicist, who contributed significantly to many fields of science, including number theory, statistics, analysis, differential geometry, geodesy, geophysics, electrostatics, astronomy and optics.
