Edition Notes

Cuneiform texts on rectos only.
"The revision of the plates ... the transcription of duplicates and additional fragments have been the work of Mr. T.G. Pinches."
In the 2d edition 10 plates have been added (marked by *) 5 withdrawn and 2 incorporated with the others. The pagination of the 1st edition (70 numbered leaves) has been added to leaves numbered differently from the 1st edition (1875). Of the 5 vols. comprising the series of Cuneiform inscriptions of Western Asia, the fourth alone appeared in a 2d edition; a complete reprint by photo-lithography of the 5th volume was published in 1909. cf. E.A. Wallis Budge, The rise and progress of Assyriology, 1925.
