C. Dean Andersson is an internationally published writer of short stories and novels.
He is best known in heroic fantasy for his Bloodsong Trilogy, including the books WARRIOR WITCH, WARRIOR REBEL, and WARRIOR BEAST. These titles were originally published by Warner Books in the 1980s under the name Asa Drake, but were later re-released in trade editions by Hawk Publishing in 2000 under C. Dean Andersson. Dean is best known in the horror field for the historical vampire epic I AM DRACULA, a tale of modern horror called RAW PAIN MAX, and an urban fantasy adventure, FIEND, about the classic Greek mythos witch Medea attending a Dallas comic book convention where comic book superheroes become dangerously real. He is a member of SFWA (Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America) and HWA (Horror Writers Association), and is a Bram Stoker Award nominee.
Dean earned a BS in Astrophysics, a BA in Art, is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and has worked diverse jobs including Hollywood television graphic arts, professional musician, computer robotics programmer, and software technical writer.
