This is the complete set in matching black pebbled flexible boards with bright gilt to spine and red inked edges to textblock as per design. Though I have stated 1938, the books show copyright dates from 1938-1940 with three being from 1938, two from 1939 ,and three from 1940. Billed as "a progressive illustrated series with questions, answers, calculations covering modern engineering practice specially prepared for for all engeneers, all mechanics, and all electricians. A practical course of study and reference ..."

Work Description

This book is one of the best physics primers that I have ever seen. In addition the highly detailed desrcriptions and drawings of all components of a vast variety of steam engines is far beyond the extent of anything that I have seen before. I purchsed a 1930 edition (part II) of this book which drew me to this site and the earlier version. Scanning is of very high standard with magnificently clear drawings. Every steam buff should read this book.
