Conundrum

4 items

The 'other' dyslexic

What i read,
it was a sort of tequila induced misunderstanding
Actually reads,
in a sort of fragile, unacknowledged truce.
Perception:
* Had his father known that he would soon be sleeping around? *
Actuality:
* Had his father known that he would soon be stepping down? *

I knew something was wrong with this sentence,
after 3 tries, i realized it's just a typo:
* Not that broken bones are any fun, but at least they’re flexible. *
there was no typo:
* Not that broken bones are any fun, but at least they’re fixable. *

What I read...
and he was bang on time, she saw, glancing up at the tall giraffe at the top of the steps.

What was actually written...
and he was bang on time, she saw, glancing up at the tall grandfather clock on the turn of the stairs.

.

I have a question.
My favorite genre is HEA almost "sweet" romance novels,
You know, a separation from reality. Except for the following issue.
The guy, let's call him H. Betrays, lies, blackmails, malign, distrusts, denigrates, kidnaps or otherwise maliciously interfere in her life, right?
the girl, let's call her h.
The only facets h has to evaluate said H with, are all negatives
Yes, she still lusts for H, b/c damn, he's HAWT!
But how can you have self respect to say you love someone who only portrays negative traits.
My conundrum: yeah, lust for the guy, but, dayum girl, you can't "love" an amoral deviant dirtbag. What qualities is she finding attractive?
So, no, just no.
Sure, after he grovels, then the lurve feelings could start to grow.
